CARROT KHEER RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

Ghee - 2 tbsp
Peeled and chopped Delhi red carrot - 2 cups
Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Peeled badams - 15 nos
Elaichis - 2 nos
Milk - 1 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Peeled and sliced badams - 5 nos

Preparation time : 20 minutes
Cooking time : 20 minutes
No of servings : 4 members

Method:

1. Take carrots, peel it, wash it well, cut both the edges and chop it.

2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add chopped carrots and saute for 5 minutes.

3. Add milk, water, cover it with the lid, pressure cook for 5 whistles and let it cool down.

4. Take away the carrots and let the milk cool down .

5. Cool down the carrot, place it in a blender jar along with peeled badams, elaichis and blend it into          smooth paste.

6. Heat the pressure cooker, add ground carrot puree, milk, sugar, badams and stir well.

7. Boil the kheer for 5 minutes, turn off the flame and serve.

Take 6 carrots

Peel the skin

Wash the carrots well

Cut both the edges

Chop the corrots

Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a pressure cooker and
add chopped carrots

Saute for 5 mintes

Add 1 cup of millk

Add 1/2 cup of water

Cover and pressure cook for 5 whistles

Cool down the carrot and milk for a while

Take away the carrot from milk

Cool down the carrot

Place it in a blender jar

Add 15 peeled badams and 2 elaichis

Blend it into smooth paste

Heat the pressure cooker

Add ground carrot puree

Add 1 1/2 cup of milk

Add 1/2 cup of sugar

Add 5 sliced badams

Stir well

Let the kheer boil for 5 minutes in medium flame
and turn off the flame

Serve it hot or chill
