AVAL UPMA RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
Oil - 3 tbsp Groundnut seeds - 1/2 cup Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Urad dal - 1 tbsp Dry red chilies - 2 nos Finely chopped onions - 2 nos Slit green chilies - 2 nos Finely chopped ginger - 1 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Thick poha - 2 cups Salt - 1/2 tsp Finely chopped coriander leaves - 1/4 cup Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon Grated coconut - 1/2 cup Plain sev - 1/4 cup
Preparation time : 15 minutes Cooking time : 15 minutes No of servings : 3-4 members Cuisine : Indian Coarse : Breakfast
Method:
1. Add poha in a bowl, wash it well, drain the water and rest for 10 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a kadai, add groundnut seeds, fry until it turns golden brown in color and place it in a plate.
3. Heat the kadai again, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let it splatter.
4. Add urad dal and fry until it turns golden brown in color.
5. Add chopped onion, green chilies, curry leaves, chopped ginger, turmeric powder, red chilies and saute well.
6. Add soaked poha, salt, groundnut seeds, chopped coriander leaves, grated coconut, lemon juice, mix well, turn off the flame, sprinkle sev and serve. |
