MILK MAID PAYASAM RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

Milk - 3 cups
Roasted vermicelli - 1/2 cup
Milk maid - 1/2 - 3/4 cup
Crushed elaichis - 2 nos
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cashewnuts - 5 nos
Raisins - 10 nos

Preparation time : 5 minutes
Cooking time  : 20 minutes
No of servings : 5-6 members
Cuisine : Indian
Coarse : Dessert

Method:

1. Heat milk in a sauce pan, bring it to boil, once when the milk raises well, reduce the flame to                  medium and let it boil again.

2. Add vermicelli, give it a quick stir, boil the milk for 10 minutes and keep stirring in the intervals.

3. Add milkmaid and stir well.

4. Heat ghee in a tadka pan, add cashewnuts, raisins, fry until the raisin pops up and cashewnuts turn          golden brown in color.

5. Add fried cashewnuts, raisins, crushed elaichis in the payasam, mix well, turn off the flame and serve.

Heat 3 cups of milk in a sauce pan

Bring it to boil

The milk has been raised well

Reduce the flame to medium
and let it boil again

Add 1/2 cup of vermicelli

Give it a quick stir

Boil the milk for 10 minutes in low
flame and keep stirring in the intervals

Vermicelli is being cooked well

Add 1/2 - 3/4 cup of milk maid

Stir well

Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a tadka pan,
add cashewnut, raisins,
 fry until raisins pops up and let
 the cashewnuts
turn golden brown in color

Add fried cashewnuts and raisins in the payasam

Add 2 crushed elaichis

Mix well and turn off the flame

Serve hot or chill
