CUCUMBER CURD GRAVY RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
Oil - 2 tbsp Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Urad dal - 1 tsp Dry red chili - 1 no Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp Finely chopped onion - 1 no Finely chopped green chili - 1 no Curry leaves - 1 string Finely chopped cucmber - 1 no (medium size) Salt - 1 tsp (as required) Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Curd - 1 cup Finely chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Preparation time : 15 minutes Cooking time : 10 minutes No of servings : 3 members Cuisine : Karnataka Coarse : Side Dish for rice
Method:
1. Take a cucumber, cut both the edges, cut it into halves, slice it thinely and chop it into small pieces.
2. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let it splatter.
3. Add urad dal, dry red chili and saute until it turns golden brown in color.
4. Add asafoetida, chopped onion, green chili, curry leaves and saute for a minute.
5. Add chopped cucumber, turmeric powder, salt and saute well.
6. Cover and cook for 5 minutes in low flame, turn off the flame and let it cool down slightly. 7. Add curd, mix well and serve. |
