BAINGAN MASALA RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
Banglore egg plant - 1 no (medium size) Oil - 2 tbsp
INGREDIENTS FOR TEMPERING
Oil - 1 tbsp Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Chopped onion - 1 no Slit green chilies - 3 nos Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp Chili powder - 1 tsp Coriander powder - 2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Chopped tomato - 1 no Salt - 1 tsp (as required) Garam masala - 1/2 tsp Finely chopped coriander leaves - few
Preparation time : 10 minutes Cooking time : 20 minutes No of servings : 3 members Cuisine : Indian Coarse : Side Dish for chapatti
Method:
1. Wash the brinjal, slice it thick and slice the brinjal into thick strips.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add sliced brinjal, saute until it turns soft and slightly changes the color.
3. Place it in a plate and set aside.
4. Heat oil in a pan, add muastard seeds, cumin seeds and let it splatter.
5. Add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes in medium flame.
6. Add green chilies, ginger garlic paste, spice powders, salt and saute until it turns mashy.
7. add water, garam masala powder, mix once and cook for a minute in low flame.
8. Add sauted brinjal, mix well, sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves, mix well and serve
