MUSHROOM PEPPER FRY RECIPE


MUSHROOM  PEPPER FRY RECIPE

INGREDIENTS FOR GRINDING 

Whole pepper -1 tbsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp

INGREDIENTS FOR TEMPERING

Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Dry chilies - 2 nos
Crushed garlic - 7-8 nos
Curry leaves - 2 strings
Finely chopped onion - 2 nos (Big)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Chopped capsicum - 1 no [Medium size]
Chopped mushroom - 300 grms
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Water - 1/4 cup
Chopped coriander leaves - 1/4 cup

Preparation time - 15 minutes
Cooking time - 20 minutes
No of servings - 3-4 members
Coarse : Side dish
Cuisine - Indian
 
Method :

1) Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and chop the mushrooms.

2) Chop capsicum and onions.

3) Add all the grinding ingredients in a blender and blend them into a fine powder.

4) Heat oil and ghee in a kadai, add mustard seeds and crackle them.

5) Add chili, garlic, curry leaves and fry them into a nice golden brown in color in medium flame.

6) Add finely chopped onions and saute the onions into nice brown in color

7) Add ginger garlic paste  and saute for 2 minutes in medium flame.

8) Add chopped capsicum, saute for about 1 minute, add chopped mushroom and saute for 1 or 2 minutes.

9) Add the grounded powder, mix well and cook for 2 minutes in medium flame.

10) Add water, cover and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.

11) The mushroom has being cooked well, sprinkle some coriander leaves and serve hot.


Take all the ingredients

Take all the grinding ingredients 

Add all the spice ingredients in a blender  

Blend it into fine powder

 Heat 2 tbsp of oil and 1 tbsp of ghee in a kadai

Add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds

Let them crackle

Add chili, garlic and curry leaves

Fry them in a nice golden color in medium flame

Add finely chopped onion

Saute

Fry the onion into nice brown in color

Add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste

Saute for 2 minutes in medium flame

Add chopped capsicum

Saute for about 1 minute

Add chopped mushrooms

Saute for 1 or 2 minutes

Add the grounded powder and salt

Mix well

Cook for 2 minutes in medium flame

Add 1/4 cup of water

Mix well

Cover and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame

The mushroom has nicely being cooked

Mix once

Sprinkle some coriander leaves

Mix once and turn off the flame

Serve with rasam rice and chapatti
