MUDAKATHAN KEERAI DOSAI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

Idly or dosa batter - 3 cups
Mudakathan keerai / balloon vine leaves - 1 handful
Cumin seeds / seeragam - 1 tsp
Green chili - 2 nos
Ginger - 2 nos [1 inch]
Salt - as required
Oil - 2 tbsp

Preparation time : 15 minutes
Cooking time : 20 minutes
Makes : 15 dosai

Method : 

1) Pick the mudakathan keerai leaves, discard the stem, wash and drain the leaves.

2) In a mixi jar add mudakathan keerai leaves, sliced ginger, green chili, cumin seeds and grind them in a smooth paste by adding 2-3 tbsp of water.

3) Add the grounded paste in the dosa batter and mix well.

4) Add little water in the mixi jar, rinse and pour it in the batter. Mix well in a pouring consistency.

5) Heat a tava with oil greeced on top, take a laddleful of dosa batter, pour on the tava and spread gently.

6) Cook the dosa for 1-2 minutes in a medium flame. Drizzle a few drops of oil on the dosa, flip over, cooknfor few minutes and serve.

Take all the ingredients

Add mudakathan keerai leaves, sliced ginger,
green chilies and cumin seeds in a mixi jar 

Grind them in a smooth paste by adding 2-3 tbsp
of water

Add the grounded paste in the dosa batter


Mix well, add little water in the mixi jar, rinse and
pour it in the batter, mix well in a pouring
consistency

Heat a tava with oil greeced on top

Take a ladleful of dosa batter, pour it on the tava
 and spread gently

Cook the dosa for 1 or 2 minutes in a medium heat

Drizzle a few drops of oil on the dosa 

Flip over the dosa and cook for few seconds
 and serve

Serve with chutney and enjoy...
