CARROT HALWA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

Grated carrot - 4 cups
Milk - 3 cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Cashew nuts - 5 nos
Chopped almonds - 5nos
Ghee - 3 tbsp


Preparation time : 20 minutes
Cooking time : 45 minutes
No of servings : 4 members

Method :

1. Take peeled, washed and grated carrot. 

2. Chop the almonds.

3. Heat ghee in a pan and let the ghee to melt.

4. Add cashew nuts, fry till it turns into a nice golden brown in color.

5. Take the cashew nuts off the pan and place it aside in a plate.

6. In the same left over ghee add the grated carrot.

7. Saute the carrot for about 10 minutes in a medium flame.

8. Once the carrot is half cooked pour milk and stir well.

9. Cook on a low flame till the milk has absorbed completely by the carrot.

10. Add sugar and cook till the sugar has been dissolved nicely.

11. Keep on stirring constantly until all the moisture is been absorbed well.

12. Add cardamom powder, chopped almonds and cashew nuts.

13. Mix them up well and add 1 tbsp of ghee and keep on mixing it till the halwa separates the pan.

14. Turn off the heat and serve 



Take all the ingredients

Add 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan

Melt the ghee

Add cashew nuts

Fry it

Fry till it turns into a nice golden brown in color

Take the cashew nuts off the pan

Place it on a plate and set aside

In the same leftover ghee

Add grated carrot

Saute for about 10 minutes in a medium flame

Once the carrot has half cooked

Pour the milk

Stir well

Cook on low flame

Cook till the milk is absorbed completely
by the carrot

Add a cup of sugar

Cook till the sugar is dissolved well

Keep on stirring constantly 

Cook until all the moister is absorbed

Add cardamom powder, chopped almonds, and
cashew nuts

Mix them well

Add 1 tbsp of ghee

Keep on mixing it till the halwa separates the pan

Turn off the heat and serve

Serve
